It looked like this:
I found a garage which clearcoated the playfield. Here you see the two playfields, the right one is clearcoated.
The left playfield was traded for a nos harlem playfield.
I started with the upper side of the playfield. First I moved the wood border. Then I moved piece by piece. During this process, I cleaned every part.
After a hard working-weekend 3/4 of the upper parts of the playfield were assembled. I had problems aligning the transparent tube.
Then I wanted to drill the holes for the metal lanes (on the sides of the flippers).
I had spiral bits with the following size : 2 mm and 2.5 mm, but the size of the holes lied in-between. .. My wife once presented me a complete dremel set (she always gives me useful presents). And look what we have here:
With these spiral bits (2.38 mm) it was no problem to drill the right holes.
Here is the result:
Next problem: One leg of the left metal lane was broken:
I found another collector in switzerland who sent me new (used) metal lanes. But... same problem (the right metal lane was okay, one leg of the left one was also broken...
Solution: I bent the additional right metal lane to the shape of the left metal lane.
I was not sure concerning the holes for the slingshots, so I built a cardboard "template". With this help it was quite easy to drill the holes at the right locations.
The upper part of the playfield is mostly done, here are some pictures.
(The flipperalignment is not correct at the moment...)
Now I will start to work on the other side of the playfield:
For the bumper solenoids I moved I put labes with numbers on the wires.
I used the (whereever possible) the "new" lamp style (555):

I used the following method to remember the correct places:

Cutting wires: I put labels with the same number on both sides. |
Moving switches: I screw a cardboard with a number under the switch then write the same number on the new playfield and mark the exact location with one screw. |

I forget this little post, so the ball runs directly through the gate:
The Playfield is now much quicker: the switches in the left and right inlane are sometimes not registering.I will adjust them if this doesn't work I have to add some additional caps.
When assembling the upper playfield I always mount the rubbers instantly. Then I check with a pinball if the mounting is correct (very important on in / outlanes).
